NetaData is an independent, privately run platform. It is not owned, operated, endorsed or funded by the Government of India, any State Government, the Parliament of India, any State Legislature, the Election Commission of India, or any other public authority.

Nothing on the Site is an official record. For official information — electoral rolls, results, candidate affidavits, notifications — please refer to the relevant government or Election Commission website.

Profiles, party records, election results, constituency and district data are compiled from publicly available sources, including:

• Candidate affidavits filed with the Election Commission of India
• Official websites of Parliament, State Legislatures and government departments
• Public-interest research organisations such as ADR / MyNeta and PRS Legislative Research
• Official party websites and reputable news reporting, for context

While we try to keep the information accurate and current, NetaData makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, about its accuracy, completeness, reliability or timeliness. Data may contain errors introduced at the source or during compilation, and may be outdated — for example, after an election, a by-election, a change of party, or a court decision.

Our database is still being expanded and validated at scale. Where a figure matters for a decision you are making, always cross-check it against the original cited source.

Figures for assets, liabilities, income and educational qualifications are generally taken from sworn affidavits submitted by candidates themselves at the time of an election. They are self-declared, have not been independently audited or verified by us, and reflect the position on the date of the affidavit — not necessarily today.

Values are shown as declared. Totals and comparisons calculated by the Site are for convenience and may differ from other sources because of rounding or differing methods.

Criminal-case information is drawn from the candidate's own declarations in their election affidavit and from public records.

• A pending case is an allegation, not a finding of guilt. Every person is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a competent court.
• The number of cases, or the sections of law listed, says nothing about their merit or outcome.
• Cases may have been decided, withdrawn, quashed or stayed after the affidavit was filed; the Site may not yet reflect this.

NetaData does not make, and does not intend to imply, any allegation against any person. The information is reproduced so that voters can access what candidates have publicly declared.

NetaData does not support, endorse, oppose or campaign for any political party, alliance, candidate or ideology. Politicians and parties across the spectrum are presented in the same format and to the same sourcing standards.

The order in which people, parties or States appear — in lists, search results, comparisons or charts — reflects sorting, filtering or data availability, and is not a ranking or a judgement of merit. Party names, colours and symbols are shown only to identify them.

Explainers such as How Indian Politics Works describe the Constitution, laws and procedures in simplified language. They are not legal, professional or official advice, and simplification may leave out exceptions and details. Laws, rules and figures change; for anything with legal consequences, refer to the Constitution of India, the relevant statute or rule, or consult a qualified professional.

The Site links to and cites external websites. NetaData does not control those websites and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices. A link is provided for reference and is not an endorsement.

The Site displays advertisements served by third parties, including Google AdSense. Ads are labelled "Advertisement" and are selected by the ad provider, not by NetaData. Advertisers have no influence over our content, and the appearance of an ad — including a political ad — does not mean NetaData endorses the advertiser, its products or its views. Party names, election symbols, logos, photographs and other marks belong to their respective owners. They are used on the Site only to identify the people and organisations described, for informational and educational purposes, and their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by their owners.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NetaData and its team shall not be liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental or consequential — arising from the use of, or reliance on, any information on the Site, or from any error, omission, interruption or delay. If you spot an error — or if you are a person featured on the Site and believe information about you is inaccurate or outdated — please write to us with the page link, what is incorrect, and a supporting public source where possible. We review every request and correct or update verified errors as quickly as we can.
